Our Approach

We understand that low self-esteem usually develops in childhood, often because our emotional needs were not fully met by our caregivers. In our formative years, if we don’t receive the message that our feelings, thoughts, and opinions matter, we become untrusting of our own experiences which can be devastating to our self-esteem.

A common experience those with low self-esteem share is that we don’t value our own opinions, needs, and ideas as much as those of other people. We’re self-critical and focus on our perceived weaknesses and flaws.

Our counsellors are trained to help you process the experiences that have eroded your self-esteem so you can find healing and a new reconnected sense of self so that you can feel more confident in all areas of your life.

Once we understand how the negative beliefs that we hold about ourselves have been holding us back, we can start to deprogram these old patterns and establish new and healthier ways of showing up in the world and in our relationships.
